Brass signs offer a higher quality appearance compared to the usual aluminium signs. They are therefore particularly suitable for those who want to show that a serious and dignified atmosphere can be expected here, even with the sign on which the name of the practice or office is written. Such signs are therefore often found on historic buildings, but doctors and lawyers also rely on them. Brass is not only suitable for indoor use, but can also be applied externally. Imagine a series of signs, as is common for many office buildings on the outside. Here someone who is looking for a lawyer, for example, reads through this whole series and where does the gaze stick? Right, by the shield that radiates trust and respectability from afar. The writing is engraved, so that it is also recognizable that it is not a 08/15 sign.

Brass –What is the quality of this material?

We use brass that has been brushed and provided with a protective coating. The quality is therefore very high and the sign still looks very nice even after many years. It will darken after some time due to the effects of the weather, especially if it is installed outdoors, but it will still look very good. It is precisely this old patina, which then adheres to the shield, that makes it even more effective.
The brass plate, which you can have engraved by us, has a thickness of 1.5 to 2.5 millimetres –, depending on the size –, and can be fastened with the help of dowels and screws via the drill holes in the plate. It is therefore also very well suited for mounting on a house wall.

You choose the material for your sign on our site. You can also determine the size of the sign yourself. In addition, you can select font size and font type. You should note that the sign should be easy to read and the font should still support the brass. Engraving brass signs is all well and good, but it looks more like a deliberate and not skilful job if brass is chosen as the material, but the font is then kept very modern. It should not be too ornate either, because, as I said, the sign should be easy to read. When ordering, you can also provide information on a possible mounting of the sign, so that we can drill the appropriate holes. Now simply put the sign into the shopping cart and we will take care of everything else. We can engrave the brass plates and send them to you within a maximum of five working days. However, delays may occur if Sundays or public holidays lie between the order and its execution.
